Joshua Doles, fifth grader at Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Elementary School, was one of 16 students recognized nationally for his improvement in math. Joshua improved math by 129 percentage points last year and won $500. The award was sponsored by National 180 Student Awards sponsored by educational publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
