Rack Room Shoes “Real Teacher of the Year” winner Aline Newton Honored
Ms. Aline Newton, English teacher at Hunter-Kinard-Tyler High School, was presented with a $10000 check to be used for technology upgrades at Hunter-Kinard-Tyler High School on Friday, November 9, 2018. The school held an assembly as representatives from Rack Room Shoes came to HKT to honor Ms. Newton. Ms. Newton was informed in September that she was named one of five (5) teachers in the United States to be named a Rack Room Shoes “Real Teacher of the Year” winner. Ms. Newton was nominated by one of her students and individuals had an opportunity to go online to vote for Ms. Newton to receive this award. In addition to the $10000, Ms. Newton will receive a year’s supply of shoes from Rack Room Shoes. Thank you Rack Room Shoes and Congratulations to Ms. Newton!
