    At our School Board Meeting 20 June 2018, Mr. Brad Coleman was approved as the new Principal of Edisto High School.

    Mr. Coleman comes to OCSD 4 with over twenty years in the education profession and by way of Lexington County School District Two. Please welcome Mr. Coleman to the Cougar family.

    Edisto High School Air Force Junior ROTC unit SC-20021 had their annual awards ceremony Thursday night, May 10th, 2018 at the school.  Over 600 ribbons and medals were presented, including 20 from local area fraternal and service organizations.

    Cadet Joshua Self earned the trophy for the top academic average in AFJROTC. Cadet Dakota Nettles was recognized for outstanding dress and appearance. The top drill and ceremony cadet was Cadet Brandon Antley.  The outstanding Flight Commander was Cadet Sintereius Davis. The outstanding cadets overall by year group were Cadets Austin Ehrhardt, Sintereius Davis, Tariq Brooks, and Cameron Coker.  Cadets from Charlie and Foxtrot flights took honors as the best flights each semester.

    It was also announced last week that Edisto High AFJROTC earned the national distinguished unit award for 2018.  This award is reserved for the best of all JROTC units nationwide. This is the 13th year Edisto High has earned this national award.

  • ge Congratulations, Golden Essence!


    On Saturday, March 31, 2018, Golden Essence competed in the South Carolina Band Director's Association (SCDBA) Winter Ensemble State Championships. Golden Essence competed in the Percussion Scholastic Novice division. They placed 3rd in the division for State Championships.

    Final count for May 10th drive was 32 pints.

    Our next blood drive will be the bedinning of fall semester.  If you want credit for a donation, you may go directly to blood assurance at the RMC and identify yourself with EHS for red cord credit.

    Students and faculty from the Next Gen Magnet School and Edisto High School plant one of the redbud trees provided to five area schools by the Orangeburg County Soil and Water District’s to commemorate Arbor Day.
